WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for the latter due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item upgrader kit used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item level Upgrade, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which displays an image of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item upgrader mod slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that same item level will be less expensive, even when they belong to another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available when certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complicated can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
