3. iRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular look that looks more like a regular Roomba unit than the boxy units of the rivals. It is one of our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic hoovers mop or vacuum that scored 100% in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors that include a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. It's also a bit expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are similarly capable and better-looking. If you're willing to live with a little more noise and some additional cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.

It can be used to make cleaning schedules, plan the perfect spot for cleaning or sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app also provides access to a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.
