They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings to be a bit difficult on the fingers.

It is also possible to use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge however, I've found that changing the general settings tends be more effective than specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the refrigerator. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray much from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a good performance but isn't quite at the top of our ratings.
