Keyless Entry

Certain older models and newer models have keyless entry. This feature allows you to unlock your vehicle without the need to insert a key or touch the door handle. These systems make use of radio signals that are emitted by your vehicle. These signals are later picked up by a receiver within the key fob. The key fob transmits a signal when you press the handle button or place your hands on it. The signal is matched by the receiver of the vehicle.

While these systems are incredibly practical, they do have some drawbacks. Some of the most significant concerns are security. Transponder Keys

Mechanical Keys
