The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best robot vacuum navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot cleaner with mop mops and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well, but this is something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home, find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and effectively. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush to protect your carpets from damage. carpets.

This device has a fairly high price tag but is packed with a wide array of smart features. It is important to remember, however, that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan map, which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to keep specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair that our cats shed, and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was about to start or completing its task.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the necessity to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a problem when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuum cleaners best is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-orOn the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market which is dominated by clunky boxy models.
