1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ does not have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or any other top-rated robots that we tested. It could be stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between surfaces, such as rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clean up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or other clutter it might encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it goes back to its docking station, automatically emptying its debris into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning the area where it started. Battery life is about an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes about three hours to fully charge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most important feature is its auto-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can direct your robot using the app or by voice.

The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and lowers the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. When connected to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) very well, picking up 86% of it. It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items like cords or socks.
