The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to prevent it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that automatically moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
