robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-roomTop Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..

beginners-guide-to-smart-mapping-robot-vThe Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot robotic vacuum cleaner sale to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor robot. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a little grit. Most robots could not do this. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic floor scrubber cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also have many additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few misses in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be accomplished without difficulty. It has a large LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot cleaner mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry, but it's expensive.

Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac I've used that has done well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do everything.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, simply attach one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The most important feature that makes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable items in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins room cleaning robot from where it started.

The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
